In the last 20 years we have witnessed a revolution in cardiovascular imaging, in part brought about by the introduction of new techniques such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). This revolution has changed not only the manner in which we look at arteries but also the evaluation of arterial disease itself. Nevertheless, among the hundreds of radiology texts only a few are expressly devoted to cardiovascular MRI.
